Larry Merchant
Larry Merchant (born February 11, 1931 in New York City ) is an American sports journalist .
Above all else, Merchant was a boxing commentator and the standard spokesman for HBO and one of the most recognized professionals among American boxing commentators .
He appeared in several films as a speaker or commentator. He wrote the screenplay for the television documentary Son of the Not-So-Great Moments in Sports (1986) and an episode of the television series Legendary Nights ( The Tale of Chavez vs. Taylor , 2003).
