Sebastian Dehnhardt

Sebastian Dehnhardt (* 1968 in Oshakati , Namibia ) is a German director , writer and producer .

Life

Sebastian Dehnhardt is the son of the chief physician and sanatorium owner Hans-Georg Dehnhardt (1913–2001) , who comes from Wroclaw and has lived in Bad Kissingen since 1950, and the stepson of the actress Marina von Ditmar (1914–2014), with whom his father was married since 1949.

Dehnhardt has been working as a freelance writer for various television stations since 1992. In addition to short articles, advertising films, entertainment and cultural programs, he has shot numerous historical documentaries - among others for the publicist Guido Knopp and the ZDF . His films have received several awards. He is the author of several books on contemporary history. From 2002 to 2014 he was managing director of the Cologne production company Broadview TV together with Leopold Hoesch .
