The Broadview TV GmbH is a German documentary film production company based in Cologne.
BROADVIEW produces documentaries for radio and cable networks in Germany and worldwide, u. a. for ZDF , ARD , arte , HBO , A&E , NHK , RTL as well as for national and international institutions such as the Foreign Office and the European Commission . The films have won an Emmy Award ®, the German Television Prize , the Magnolia Award, the Banff Television Award and numerous other prizes.
history
Since it was founded in 1999 by Leopold Hoesch , Broadview TV has been active in the fields of contemporary history, current affairs and culture for television stations and theatrical distributors. The production company is involved in the work of ZDF Zeitgeschichte as well as producer of the ARD series “Deutsche Dynastien”, the Arte series “TOO young TO DIE” and the 3sat and ZDFtheaterkanal series “Theaterlandschaften” with Esther Schweins . In addition to numerous TV documentaries, Broadview TV also produced the cinema documentaries Klitschko and Nowitzki under the Broadview Pictures label . The perfect throw . Broadview TV also develops and shoots information and image films for companies and institutions, including the Federal Foreign Office and the European Union .
The managing director is Leopold Hoesch. He represents the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences as ambassador in Germany.
With Guido Knopp (ZDF Zeitgeschichte), Leopold Hoesch and Sebastian Dehnhardt won the 2005 International Emmy Award for the production "The Drama of Dresden".
