Peter Segal

Peter Segal (* 1962 ) is an American director , producer , screenwriter and actor . He is not to be confused with the American radio presenter Peter Sagal .

Life

Peter Segal grew up in New York , where his father worked at MGM . Segal and his family moved to Los Angeles in the 1970s . Segal graduated from the University of Southern California and enjoyed immediate success in television, where he received eight Emmys , the Cable ACE Award for Best Director and two National Association of Broadcaster's Service to Children Awards for his comedic work .

He made his debut as a feature film director in 1994 with the third part of the Die Nackte Kanone series. He made several films with Adam Sandler in the lead role. He also appeared as an actor in small supporting roles.

Segal founded his own production company Greenhaven Films in 1995. His credo: "We really push the limits with every character, we put ourselves in their lives and take a look at what makes them special."
