Lars Adler

Lars Adler (* 1976 ) is a German historian , archivist and phalerist ( religious scholar ). As the author of the relevant works and studies on the subject, he is an expert on the old Baden orders and the orders and decorations of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .

Life

Adler studied Middle and Modern History, Philosophy and Historical Auxiliary Sciences at the University of Leipzig (1997–1999) and the Ruprecht-Karls-University of Heidelberg (1999–2002). He wrote his master's thesis on the oldest religious foundations of the Margraves of Baden-Durlach at the time of the Counter Reformation and on the eve of the Thirty Years' War . 2006 Lars eagle with a Heidelberg was dissertation on the religious foundations of the Margrave of Baden 1584-1803 to Dr. phil. PhD . For this doctoral thesis, Adler was the first to receive the Johann Daniel Schöpflin Prize , endowed with 1,000 euros , in 2008, which has been awarded every two years since 2008 by the Friends of the General State Archives in Karlsruhe and is named after the scholar Johann Daniel Schöpflin (1694–1771).

After he was a research assistant from 2000 to 2002 and then a research assistant at the Research Center for German Inscriptions at the Heidelberg Academy of Sciences until 2006 , he was an archive clerk for the higher archive service in the state of Hesse (completed at the Hessian State Archive in Darmstadt and at the archive school) from 2007-2009 Marburg ). From May 2009 until end of April 2010 Adler served as staff director of the Hessian State Archive Darmstadt settled Archives Advisory office in Hessen operates.
