Lars Bloch (born August 6, 1938 in Hellerup ) is a Danish actor in mostly Italian films.

Life

Bloch lived as a child in Rungsted and Charlottenlund before he moved to Mariager (Jutland) with his parents . After successfully completing school in 1956, he visited Italy. After completing his military service in the Navy, Bloch returned to Italy in the spring of 1959 and was quickly cast in films as the prototype of the Nordic villain due to his tall, bulky, blond and mostly bearded appearance. His first two films were directed by Lucio Fulci . Until the 1980s he played in many films, including almost ten spaghetti westerns, mostly small roles; Occasionally he was also seen in larger productions (such as Carol Reeds Michelangelo - as the founder of the Swiss Guard -) or in positive roles such as that of King Richard the Lionheart in the Robin Hood film The Fiery Arrow of Vengeance . In the 1970s he worked several times with Aristide Massaccesi , who cast him in a rare leading role in Eroi all'inferno (under a pseudonym).

After his active career, Bloch was employed as sales manager of DVD productions of Italian films for the Japanese market and was occasionally involved in the production of some feature films.
