Black Emanuelle - Hours of Wild Lust (Italian original title Emanuelle in America ) is an Italian sexploitation film by Joe D'Amato from 1976 with Laura Gemser in the lead role, which is particularly notorious for a zoophilia scene. The scandalous film is the third part of the Italian Black Emanuelle series, an adaptation of the French Emmanuelle series.

The New York journalist Emanuelle is working on a report about the secret sexual desires of high society , which leaves her in a quagmire of decadence , perversion and sex . She meets the billionaire Eric van Darren, who keeps a kind of harem . The women are subservient to the man and there are various orgies on the billionaire's estate.

After a successful evening of poker , Emanuelle escapes by secretly smuggling herself into the car of Count Alfredo Elvize di Mont Elba, who is also present, and leaves for Venice with him . The count falls out with his wife, but the two can be reconciled with Emanuelle after a ménage à trois . At a subsequent party there is another orgy.

Back in New York, Emanuelle first did some photo shoots and was later sent to a brothel on a vacation island, where men were offered lovemaking for rich women. She then observes a couple making love to the scenes of a snuff film in a Super 8 projection showing torture in an unknown camp. Emanuelle's cover is finally revealed and she is led to the boss Diana Smith. She succeeds in seducing Smith, and here too she can then flee.

Back in the editorial office, she is put on a missing prostitute . A politician allegedly involved in the disappearance is lured into a bedroom by her, where they watch a porn movie . After some provocations on the part of Emanuelle, the politician shows her more snuff recordings. He infuses her with LSD and the two fly into the jungle to inspect the locations of the snuff shoot. When the reporter is sober again, she is led to believe that her memories were only hallucinations caused by LSD .

Back in the editorial office, however, photos appear to prove the authenticity of the scenes, whereupon Emanuelle submits to her publisher to bring the story to the public. But he was forbidden to print them because the politician was a big deal. Emanuelle angrily decides to leave the publishing house and travels to the Caribbean with her boyfriend Bill, with whom she had already played a few sex games during the story . The natives there kidnap the couple and Bill sells Emanuelle to the tribal chief as a bride for some mussels and a mug of beer. The next morning, the "beautiful black woman" and Bill wake up together and it turns out that they are only on a film set and that the natives are actors.

Responsible for Emanuelle - Hours wild desire , the pointed Director Joe D'Amato (also as a cinematographer under his real name: Aristide Massaccesi ). D'Amato shaped this series and helped it to fame and a high level of awareness. However, he was not responsible for directing the first film. As in the previous films, Laura Gemser took over the leading role, who appeared in numerous other erotic films in the following years.

Emanuelle caused a sensation - hours of wild pleasure with some scenes that clearly crossed the line to hardcore (Laura Gemser expressly did not participate in it), and a sodomy scene in which a stallion's penis is sexually stimulated. In particular, this scene was only seen completely unabridged in very rare and exorbitantly expensive VHS releases until recently , as they even had comparatively liberal countries like the Netherlands cut from the film. In addition, an alleged snuff documentation triggered scandals. For a long time these very authentic scenes were seen as real. With a making-of, which is included on the Italian DVD , this rumor was finally put out of the world. As a result of the offensive content, all German publications were edited out until a few years ago. Already in the German cinemas, Emanuelle - Hours of Wild Lust was defused by three minutes. On VHS the total editing time was over 10 minutes. The public prosecutor's office was then dealt with Emanuelle - Hours of Wild Pleasure , as the Federal Testing Office for writings harmful to minors still saw the content as being relevant to criminal law. According to the justification of the BPjM , this can be traced back to a socio-ethical disorientation in children and young people, explicitly with regard to the role relationship between men and women . Even today, the uncut DVD was not approved by the FSK in Germany and therefore has to be marked as “unchecked”. Meanwhile, Emanuelle - Hours of Wild Lust had to be censored in other states so that it could be released or not classified as a porn film . The film was shortened when it was released in the Netherlands, Belgium , Denmark (new edition) and Italy . Great Britain holds the record in this regard . There the VHS release was severely shortened by over 18 minutes.

The film had its Italian premiere on January 5, 1977 and was shown in Germany on January 7, 1977.
