The lurid German film title suggests a non-existent relationship with the cannibal film sub-genre , although the film also contains elements of the horror film.

action

A nuclear power plant is to be built on a Caribbean island against the will of the locals . The islanders defend themselves against the project, organize themselves and send a small secret organization under the leadership of their goddess of love, Papaya, a tropical beauty. This gradually ensnared the project engineers with the aim of collecting information about the planned power plant. Then the engineers are brutally murdered.

The socially critical journalist Sara spends her vacation in this exotic paradise. There she happened to meet an engineer friend, Vincent, who was involved in the construction of the power plant. The two have no idea of the bloody activities when they meet the elegant papaya during a little excursion. The apparently friendly locals lure the couple to a traditional ceremony called the “Red Stone Festival”, during which she administers drugs to the two and makes them submissive.

Days later, Sara is kidnapped by two of the organization's agents. From these she learns that Vincent is to be murdered, she herself is to be spared and reports of the oppression of the nature-loving inhabitants. While Vincent completely surrenders to Papaya and is later murdered, Sara falls for the dark-skinned leader of the rebels. This love affair arouses the jealousy of the bisexual papaya, which Sara also desires. At the end of the film, the organization succeeds in winning Sara over to its cause.

Reviews

The lexicon of international films wrote that the “made simple” and “amateurishly played” production was more of a sex than a horror film.
