Ottavio Alessi
Ottavio Alessi (born January 1, 1919 in Cammarata , Italy , † April 26, 1978 ) was an Italian filmmaker.
Life
Ottavio Alessi worked in many professions within the Italian film industry, such as assistant director , actor and director , but mainly as a screenwriter .
He gained his first experience as an assistant director for films such as Amleto Palermi's La peccatrice or I figli del corsaro rosso (1943, by Marco Elter ), before turning to screenwriting; first in 1946 in collaboration with Pietro Germi at Il testimone .
The further his career progressed, the more curious his films became, until he finally turned to exploitative B-goods (for example Encrujiada de una monja , 1967); in particular the second film attributed to him as a director, slave to her instincts , is seen today as a “trash” pearl. The first film in which he was directed, a thriller parody with comedy star Totò , only has Alessi's name in the opening credits for legal reasons.
After the failure of his self-directed film, he turned back to writing, now especially soft sex films in the Emanuelle environment. He later had great success with the script for Cinderella 87 .
