action

The greengrocer Antonio has chartered a shabby ship with Scottish sailors for a tomato delivery . When he was put under pressure by members of a criminal organization and followed by thugs at the vegetable market, the former Vietnam mercenary Placido stood by him. It is true that he has renounced violence and is on his way to Tibet to join the sect of the "Children of Heaven"; but when he is also physically attacked, he turns off the thugs. The two become friends and Placido postpones the onward journey to Tibet to assist Antonio. After further confrontations with the gangsters, they discover that they are gun dealers who have hidden their goods in the tomato shipment. When Placido realizes that the weapons should be delivered to the guru of his sect, he falls away from the faith. Together with the Scottish ship's crew, they put the gunsmiths down.
