Lars Petzold (born September 19, 1961 in Berlin ) is a former German soccer player in midfield . He played for BFC Dynamo in the East German league .

Career

Petzold played in his youth from 1970 to 1971 for his home club BSG Post Berlin and then in the youth teams of the BFC Dynamo. At BFC he made his debut on February 27, 1982 in the GDR Oberliga when he was substituted on on the 15th matchday of the 1981/82 season in the 86th minute for Christian Backs . This was his only assignment in a professional league. In 1983 Petzold was obliged by BSG Energie Cottbus , which played in the second-rate GDR league. In his first season 1983/84 he scored a goal in eleven inserts, where he was only substituted on seven times. In the following season 1984/85 there were only four league games. 1985 Petzold went to SG Dynamo Fürstenwalde . If he only made two appearances in the GDR league in 1987/88 , there were 25 (two goals) in 1988/89 and 22 games in 1989/90 . In 1990 Petzold moved to BSG Motor Eberswalde , for which he scored two goals in 24 league games in the 1990/91 GDR league season . After the season he ended his professional career in 1991.
