The Laser SB3 is a sporty sailing boat , mainly used for regattas , for a crew of three to four people. The maximum team weight is 270 kg.

The boat, an open keel boat , was designed by Tony Castro in 2002 ; it is built by LaserPerformance. The hull is in fiberglass made sandwich construction, the mirror is open, the cockpit itself draining . The keel is made of epoxy foam and polyester laminate with a stainless steel insert and a lead keel bomb . The mast is made of aluminum and has two Saling couples.

World championships have been held in this boat class since 2008.

Since 2012, the boat has been named SB20 as part of Laser Performance's production transfer to Tony Castro under the newly founded umbrella of Sportsboat World. SB 3 stood for three-man dinghy. SB20 refers to the length of the boat (20 feet), as the boat can also be sailed with more or less people than three crews.
