Last in Line is an American heavy metal - band received from the Irish guitarist Vivian Campbell was founded. The band members were the original line-up on Dio's The Last in Line album . Ronnie James Dio , who died in 2010, is represented by Andrew Freeman.

history

In 1982 former Black Sabbath singer Ronnie James Dio founded the band Dio with his bandmate Vinny Appice . Vivian Campbell as guitarist and Jimmy Bain as bassist joined the singer and drummer . With this line-up they recorded the album Holy Diver . In 1984 Claude Schnell was added as a keyboardist, with Schnell the album The Last in Line and Sacred Heart were released. Then the constellation was ended by Campbell's kicking out of the band. Dio then continued to exist with several line-up changes until it came to an end on May 16, 2010 with the death of Ronnie James Dio.

In 2012 Vivian Campbell announced that she was working on reuniting the original cast. The band was founded when the album The Last in Line was cast with Campbell, Bain, Appice and Schnell. The band was complemented by the singer Andrew Freeman. The first official appearance took place on August 3, 2013 in California. The setlist consisted of all of the songs by Holy Diver , five from The Last in Line and two from Sacred Heart . A big tour followed this gig.

In April 2014 the band started working on a studio album. In November 2015 it was announced that Claude Schnell is leaving the band. The band decided to stay with the original Holy Diver line-up . On November 17, 2015, was music video of The Devil in Me published. On February 19, 2016, the studio album Heavy Crown was released . On January 23, 2016, bassist Jimmy Bain died of lung cancer at the age of 68 . In April they announced bassist Phil Soussan as the replacement bassist for the following tour.
