The Laucha is a 20 km long left tributary of the Saale in the Saalekreis in Saxony-Anhalt .

The Laucha rises northwest of Schafstädt in the Querfurter Platte landscape . After flowing through Schafstädt, the brook reaches Großgräfendorf , then Bad Lauchstädt . Further down the stream, the Laucha touches Milzau , takes its side stream black oak and enters the so-called Lauchagrund . Bündorf and Knapendorf are located here . Before the Saale tributary reaches Schkopau, the second tributary flows in, the Wertsgraben . After flowing through the center and flanking the Schkopau Castle , the Laucha flows into the Saale.
