Infrastructure
Even if the district 940 is a purely statistical part of Laufamholz, it is the western part of the historical center of the formerly independent place. This can still be seen today in the local supply facilities along Möritzbergstrasse and in the location of the monuments on this street and the Winner line branching off from it. The central square at the intersection between Moritzbergstrasse and Brandstrasse is also in this district. Even today, important facilities such as schools, pharmacies, banks and fire stations are grouped around this square, which is only popularly known as "Laufamholzer Plärrer".
The transport connection is through the state road 2241 (Nuremberg – Hiltpoltstein), which is called Laufamholzstraße here. The Nürnberg-Rehhof stop is on the Nuremberg – Schwandorf railway line and is served by the S-Bahn line 1 (S1) Bamberg - Nürnberg Hbf - Hartmannshof . In local transport, the district is opened up by the city bus line 40, which connects with several stops to tram line 5 in Mögeldorf (at the "Mögeldorfer Plärrer") and as a surrounding line to Schwaig b. Nuremberg and Behringersdorf ( district of Nürnberger Land ) leads.
Architectural monuments
The monuments in this part of Laufamholz clearly show the former rural village structure. Both the former farmhouse at Moritzbergstrasse 36, essentially from the 17th century, and the property Winner line 15, a former stable house from the same period, bear witness to this past.
