Laura José Ramos Luís (born August 15, 1992 in Funchal , Madeira ) is a Portuguese soccer player .
Life
Laura Luís started her career in the youth of Grupo Desportivo Apel. In 2008 she left her youth club and moved to the highest Portuguese women's league, namely to the Club Marítimo Funchal on the Atlantic island of Madeira. There she played two seasons before joining local league rivals Desportivo Madeira in the summer of 2010.
In autumn 2011 she left Madeira and went to the University of Texas at Brownsville and Texas Southmost College (UTB / TSC) to study sports science , where she played for six months for the women's soccer team Ocelots.
In March 2012 she signed (together with her compatriot Ana Borges) with the W-League club Santa Clarita Blue Heat. There she did not get beyond the role of reservist and returned to Maritimo Funchal in the autumn of the same year. After she was in trial training at FCR Duisburg since July 2013, she signed a contract for the 2013-2014 season with the German Bundesliga club on August 14, 2013. On July 12, 2016, Luís signed a one-year contract dated June 30, 2017 with FF USV Jena . In May 2017 Luís announced that she would move to SC Braga with her compatriot Dolores Silva at the start of the 2017-2018 season .
International matches
Laura Luís is a national player for Portugal and has appeared in five internationals since 2011. She also took part in the Torneio Internacional Cidade de São Paulo and the Algarve Cup 2012 for Portugal in 2012 .
