Dolores Isabel Jácome da Silva (born August 7, 1991 in Queluz , Sintra ) is a Portuguese soccer player who played for several years in the Bundesliga for FCR 2001 Duisburg , MSV Duisburg and FF USV Jena .

Career

Dolores Silva began her career at Real Sport Clube Massamá , where she played in the club's youth. In 2007, at the age of 16, she moved to the Portuguese series champion SU 1º Dezembro from Sintra in the highest Portuguese women's league and won the championship and the cup in Portugal four times in a row. In summer 2011, at the age of 19, she signed a contract with FCR 2001 Duisburg and moved to the Bundesliga in Germany . From her move to Jena to her departure in June 2017, she studied sports science at the Friedrich Schiller University Jena . After the relegation of MSV Duisburg in the 2014/2015 season, she moved to FF USV Jena .

She played her first Bundesliga game on August 21, 2011 in a 2-1 home win against 1. FC Lok Leipzig , when she was in the starting line-up. She scored her first Bundesliga goal on April 17, 2013 in a 6-1 away defeat against 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam in the 9th minute of the game to an interim equalization of 1-1. In the summer of 2011 she suffered a serious injury with a cruciate ligament rupture in a friendly against the French team Paris St. Germain and had to sit out for several months.

In May 2017, Silva announced her departure from Jena and switched to SC Braga at the beginning of the 2017/2018 season, together with compatriot Laura Luis . On March 29, 2018, she signed a 2-year contract with Atlético Madrid, valid from July 1, 2018, and became Spanish champion in the 2018/2019 season. She terminated her contract with Atlético Madrid on July 23, 2019 and announced her return to Sporting Braga on July 24, 2019 .

National team

On March 4, 2009, she made her debut in Albufeira for the Portuguese national team in the game against Poland (2-1) when she was substituted on in the 80th minute. She made her first international goal on August 25, 2010 in a 3-0 win against Armenia, when she scored 1-0 in the 31st minute. She put her second international goal in the 64th minute of the game to make it 3-0.

In 2016 she was able to qualify for the first time with Portugal for a major tournament, the EM 2017 . At the EM, she was in the Portuguese squad and was used in the three group games after which Portugal were eliminated.

On November 13, 2018, she made her 100th international match in a goalless draw against Wales.
