Laura Pihlajamäki (born August 15, 1990 in Alahärmä ) is a Finnish volleyball player .

Career

Laura Pihlajamäki started volleyball in her Finnish homeland at LP Kangasala and at the Vanajan Racing Club in Hämeenlinna , with which she became Finnish champion in 2008. The middle blocker then moved to local rivals HPK Naiset, with whom she reached the cup final in 2009 and was runner-up. In 2010 she joined the German Bundesliga team Smart Allianz Stuttgart , with whom she won the 2010/11 DVV Cup . She then returned to HPK Naiset and was again Finnish runner-up in 2012. In 2013 she moved to the reigning German champions Schweriner SC . With the club she reached the playoff quarter-finals and the cup semi-finals. After the season she left Schwerin for Finland. Pihlajamäki played the 2015/16 season in Romania at CSM Bucharest . She then moved to the top French club volleyball Nantes .
