Lauren Courtney Mayhew (born November 27, 1985 in Tampa , Florida ) is an American actress and singer .

Lauren Mayhew is the elder of two daughters of orthopedic surgeon David Mayhew and his wife Sharon Mayhew, a nurse. She has a sister named Briana three years her junior.

Mayhew began acting when she was nine when she became a finalist in the National Wilhemnia Contest. There she was discovered by the New York manager Marilyn Zitner, who then took over her management. She eventually got a role on the Guiding Light series and guest starred on several television shows. After that, Mayhew took a hiatus and went to Sony Records to work with the band PYT . With the album, the band went on tour with Destiny's Child , * NSYNC and Britney Spears . In 2001 she returned to acting and in 2004 she starred alongside Hilary Duff in "Raise your Voice".

After the pop quartet PYT broke up in 2001, Mayhew now forms the vocal duo Turning Point with her former friend and also PYT band member Lydia .

In September 2009 she signed a contract with World Wrestling Entertainment as a ring announcer. On October 6, 2009, she made her debut as the ring announcer for the wrestling show ECW .
