Laurent Lacour

Laurent Lacour (born January 15, 1971 ) is a German designer, entrepreneur and scientist in the communications and media industry. Since 2011 he has been Professor of Corporate Identity and Corporate Design at the University of Düsseldorf .

Life

Laurent Lacour studied visual communication and art at the Hochschule für Gestaltung Offenbach am Main (HfG). After internships in Paris a . a. at Intégral Ruedi Baur et Associés and at Heine / Lenz / Zizka in Frankfurt am Main , he founded the design studio ade hauser lacour with Gregor Ade and Stefan Hauser in 2000. He is a partner of the corporate design agency hauser lacour Kommunikationgestaltung GmbH in Frankfurt am Main. He has implemented award-winning projects. Including corporate design projects for Siemens, Swiss Re, Munich Re , Sony, De Gruyter Publishers and the Deutsche Börse Group as well as projects in the cultural sector, e.g. For example the corporate design of the Museum of Modern Art , Frankfurt, the Cologne Philharmonic, the Max Planck Institute in Florence, the Jewish Museum Frankfurt am Main and the Alte Oper Frankfurt . The agency hauser lacour also develops book and editorial design, such as the current design of Form , magazine for design. Lacour was a member of the jury of the Red Dot Design Awards several times. He is married and has two children.

Teaching and Research

Laurent Lacour works in interdisciplinary projects at the interfaces between art, science and design. The study areas convey knowledge in the sense of an integrated, holistic research approach.

His research project Make the office great again , as an interactive room installation in collaboration with Bernhard Franken, University of Düsseldorf, deals with the tension between New Work : Sovereignty and control in the creative work environment of the future. After teaching assignments at the SfG Basel, Zurich , Darmstadt and Karlsruhe , he has been a full professor for corporate identity and corporate design in Düsseldorf since 2011 .
