biography

From December 2003 Mougel took part in FIS races at the age of 15 . She initially started in all disciplines and over time specialized in slalom and giant slalom. In December 2005 she achieved her first victory at this level. From the same month she was also used in the European Cup , but had almost only missed events in the winter of 2005/06 and only made it into the points twice. Due to injury, Mougel missed the second half of the 2006/07 season. After a rough winter 2007/08, she was on the podium for the first time in a European Cup race on March 13, 2009 when she was second in the slalom in Crans-Montana . This ultimately resulted in 6th place in the discipline ranking.

Mougel made her debut in the World Cup on January 12, 2010 in the Flachau slalom , but did not qualify for the second round. In her two World Cup appearances in the 2010/11 season, she was also unable to score, but she won four FIS races and was on the podium again in the European Cup. On February 11, 2012, Mougel won World Cup points for the first time with 24th place in the Soldeu slalom . After a 20th place was her best result so far, she advanced to the top of the world on January 4, 2013 with fifth place in the Zagreb Slalom . This was also the best result of her career. In October 2013 she suffered a cruciate ligament rupture on her right knee during training in Saas-Fee , which meant that she missed the entire 2013/14 season.

In the winter of 2014/15, Mougel was six times in the top 20, with a seventh place at the World Cup finals in Méribel being her best result. The following winter she only finished in the points once, otherwise she only had failures and non-qualifications for second rounds. Mougel suffered another cruciate ligament tear in March 2016, this time on his left knee. In the World Cup winter 2016/17 she achieved two top 20 results. She also took part in the 2017 Winter Military World Games in Sochi , where she won the bronze medal in slalom. On April 10, 2017, Mougel announced the end of her sports career via social media.
