Lavenstedt ( Low German : Lahmst ) is a district of the Lower Saxony municipality of Selsingen in the Rotenburg (Wümme) district .
geography
Lavenstedt is 4 km southwest of the core town of Selsingen , 2 km southeast of Granstedt , about 2.75 km west of Seedorf , about 4.5 km north of Ostereistedt and bath mills and 2 km northeast of Rockstedt . Connections to main traffic arteries exist through the district road K 143, which connects Rockstedt and Zeven , as well as the K 149, which connects Rockstedt with Selsingen. The federal road 71 runs to the east .
Waters
The Oste , a tributary of the Oste , which comes from Godenstedt , runs near the core of the town .
history
The name of the district goes back to the old German surname Luvan . According to documents from 971 to 986, the monastery of Heeslingen also had its seat in Lavenstedt.
On March 1, 1974, Lavenstedt was incorporated into the municipality of Selsingen.
