Badeühlen ( Baadmöhlen in Low German ) is a district of the town of Zeven in the Rotenburg (Wümme) district of Lower Saxony .

history

Prehistoric times until 1836

In the vicinity of the village there are traces of prehistory and early history, such as the megalithic grave “Prinzenstein” in the forest area “Großes Holz” in the direction of Oldendorf. According to the Vörder Register , which was made by Archbishop Johann III. Rohde was commissioned by Bremen, the existing mill in the village, which was then called "to der Bade", belonged to the "Marschalken" around 1498. The bathing mills , which was built by a Johann von Marschalck before 1542, is mentioned several times in documents. Today's mill building was built as a brick building in 1836 and is privately owned. Viewing is possible.

Modern times

Bathühlen belonged to the parish of Selsingen until December 1841 - when it was repared to Zeven. Up until 1909, Badeühlen belonged to the Ostereistedt community. Then Badeühlen came to Badenstedt in exchange for the single-digit Schohöfen farm. On June 30, 2016, 203 people lived in bathing mills. The Badühlen Youth Hostel was closed in 2016. The place is on a hiking trail of the "North Paths" and offers the "Oak Ranch" riding facility. The MC Street Dogs clubhouse is also on the outskirts.
