Lea Ambrosius (born May 22, 2000 in Bernburg ) is a German volleyball player . The middle blocker was trained in Schwerin and has been part of the Bundesliga team of SSC Palmberg Schwerin since 2018 , with which she won the DVV Cup in 2019.

Career

Ambrosius had only played volleyball at school when she came to Schwerin for a trial training session in 2015. With the youth team VC Olympia Schwerin she played in the second division north until 2019. With the German juniors, she took part in the World Championships in Argentina in 2017 and in the European Championships in Albania in 2018. In the 2018/19 season she was used for the first time in the Bundesliga team of SSC Palmberg Schwerin with a double play right . She was part of the team that won the DVV Cup and became German runner-up . In the DVV-Pokal 2019/20 she reached the semifinals with the club. When the Bundesliga season was canceled shortly before the playoffs, Schwerin was in first place in the table. Ambrosius will also play for Schwerin in the 2020/21 season.
