Nicole Oude Luttikhuis (born December 26, 1997 in Harbrinkhoek ) is a Dutch national volleyball player . The outside attacker took part in the world championship with the national team. Since 2019 she has been playing for the German Bundesliga club SSC Palmberg Schwerin .
Career
Oude Luttikhuis was initially interested in gymnastics before she decided on volleyball. She started her career in her hometown at VV Krekkers . At the age of twelve she was discovered by a scout at a tournament in Borne and came to the Talent Team Papendal in Arnhem . Oude Luttikhuis played in the junior national team for the first time internationally. In 2013 she took part in the EYOF tournament with the Dutch offspring and received an award for best middle blocker. In 2015 she was appointed to the senior national team for the first time , with which she played at the European Games in Baku . In the same year Oude Luttikhuis moved to the first division club Eurosped TVT Almelo . With the club she won the national cup in the 2015/16 season. As one of the best Dutch talents, she was nominated for the Ingrid Visser Prize.
In 2016 Oude Luttikhuis, who is now playing as an outside attacker, was signed by the German Bundesliga club Ladies in Black Aachen . With the club she reached the quarter-finals in the Bundesliga playoffs and in the DVV Cup 2016/17 in the 2016/17 season . a year later she was third in the German championship with Aachen . With the national team, she finished fourth at the 2018 World Cup . In the 2018/19 season she reached the semi-finals in the 2018/19 DVV Cup and in the Bundesliga playoffs . She also played in the Challenge Cup . Then she moved to SSC Palmberg Schwerin . In 2019 she took part in the Nations League and the World Cup with the Netherlands . In the DVV-Pokal 2019/20 she reached the semifinals with Schwerin. When the Bundesliga season was canceled shortly before the playoffs, the team was in first place in the table. Oude Luttikhuis will also play in Schwerin in the 2020/21 season.
