Denise Imoudu (born December 14, 1995 in Schwedt ) is a German volleyball player .
Career
Imoudu began her career at TSV Blau-Weiß Schwedt. From there she moved to the VC Olympia Berlin junior team . In 2011 she took part in the U18 European Championship in Ankara with the German junior national team. From the 2011/12 season she played with VC Olympia in the Bundesliga before moving to the championship and cup winner Schweriner SC in the summer of 2013 . During this time she also had her first appearances in the German national team . In 2015, Imoudu and her teammate Jana-Franziska Poll moved to league competitor VT Aurubis Hamburg . After Imoudu was a supplementary player with little play for long periods in Schwerin, she developed into a top performer in Hamburg. She won the gold MVP medal twice in the 2015/16 season and the silver medal five times. After the club filed for bankruptcy at the end of the season, Imoudu moved to SC Potsdam . With the Potsdam women she reached the playoff quarter-finals in the 2016/17 season as fourth in the table, which was lost to 1. VC Wiesbaden . A year later Imoudu stood with the club again in the playoff quarter-finals and was defeated by the Dresdner SC . Then she was committed to the league competitor Ladies in Black Aachen . With the national team, she played in the Nations League in 2018 . With Aachen she reached the semi-finals in the DVV Cup 2018/19 and in the Bundesliga playoffs . She also played in the Challenge Cup . She then returned to SC Potsdam for one season. Imoudu has been playing at SSC Palmberg Schwerin again since 2020 .
Private
Imoudu's father Marcus comes from Lagos and studied in the GDR .
