Lebanon is a city in Wilson County in the US state of Tennessee . Around 20,200 people live in the city. The city is the county seat of Wilson County. Lebanon is located in central Tennessee, east of Nashville . Cracker Barrel was founded here and has its headquarters in Lebanon. The three largest local banks are headquartered in Lebanon while the national banks have minimal presence. The city hosts the annual Wilson State Fair which is often referred to as the best state fair in Tennessee.

Demographics
20,235 people live in the city, the population density is 267 people per square kilometer. According to the 2000 population census, 82% of the city's residents are White, 13% African-American , 0.3% Native, and 0.82% of all residents are Asian. There were 7,987 households out of which 30.9% had children under 18 living in them. 47.7% were married couples, 15.0% had a single female parent without a husband, and 33.4% were singles. For every 100 females there were 90.6 males, the median age was about 35 years. Males had a median income of $ 31,207, females one of $ 24,420. 13.0% of the population are below the poverty line, 16.0% of the population were under 18 and 16.4% over 65 years old.
