Lebed

The Lebed ( Russian Лебедь , literally "swan", Russian fem. ) Is a right tributary of the Bija in the Russian federal district of Siberia . It rises in the Abakan Mountains in the east of the Altai Republic not far from the border with Khakassia , which is marked by the ridge line of the mountains, and flows into the Bija a little below the village of Turochak . The Lebed is 175 km long and has a catchment area of 4500 km².
