Kiss my ass

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Lick my ass is a six-part canon by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart . Its creation can be dated to the year 1782. The work remained unprinted during the composer's lifetime; his widow Constanze Mozart left it to the Leipzig publisher Breitkopf & Härtel for publication. There, however, the text was changed to “Let's be happy”. The original text by Mozart was unknown for a long time, only the opening words were known from an entry in the Breitkopf & Härtel catalog. It was not until 1991 that a print with handwritten original texts was found in the music library of Harvard University . The entry comes from an unknown hand, but since the texts of other works by Mozart in this print match with sources that have been proven to be authentic, the find is ascribed a high degree of authenticity.

The canon was given the Köchelverzeichnis number 231. Since the third edition of 1937 it has had the number 382c there and was thus grouped into a group with several canons and smaller occasional works, including Leck mir den Arsch fein, pretty neatly, KV 382d.

Lick my a [rsch] me g'schwindi! Lick me, lick me, lick me, lick me, lick me.
Lick me, lick me, lick - g'schwindi, g'schwindi, g'schwindi, g'schwindi!

Let's be happy!
Grumbling is in vain!
Growl, growl is in vain,
Is the true cross of life.
So let's be happy and cheerful!
