Lee Sang-ki (born June 5, 1966 ) is a former South Korean sword fencer .

successes

Lee Sang-ki won numerous medals at Asian Games , including three gold medals with the team. 1986 in Seoul , 1990 in Beijing and 1998 in Bangkok he was part of the victorious South Korean team. He also won bronze with her in Hiroshima in 1994 . In 1990 he won bronze and 1998 silver. At world championships he achieved his only podium finish with the bronze medal in Athens in 1994 .

Lee participated in four Olympic Games . With the team he placed in 1988 in Seoul , 1992 in Barcelona and 1996 in Atlanta in the top ten, while in individual the 19th place at the Olympic Games in 1988 was his best result. At the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney he reached the semi-finals of the individual competition, in which he was defeated by Pawel Kolobkow 9:13. He won the ensuing battle for bronze just under 15:14 against Marcel Fischer . He was also in the semi-finals with the team, after defeats against Italy and then against Cuba the South Korean team stayed in fourth place.
