Leinberg is a district ( desert ) of the community Birgland in Amberg-Sulzbach in the Bavarian Upper Palatinate .

The desert is in the south of the municipality of Birgland and can be reached via a road from Schwend (Birgland) .
Southwest of Leinberg is Schwend ( Birgland ), to the east is Leinhof ( Birgland ), to the north is Schwenderöd ( Birgland ) and the A 6 and to the south-southeast is Betzenberg ( Birgland ).

Leinberg in 1972 as the district of the former municipality Schwendberg in the community Birgland incorporated .
