The Lej da Vadret ( , Rhaeto-Romanic in the idiom Puter for glacial lake ) is a mountain lake in the Bernina group in the Swiss canton of Graubünden . The lake is located about four kilometers from the Italian border at an altitude of 2160 m above sea level. M.
geography
The lake at the upper end of Val Roseg is fed by the Roseg glacier . The Rosegbach flowing out of the lake ( advises : Ova da Roseg ) later forms the Flaz through its union with the Bernina Bach , which with its water more than doubles the water volume of the Inn near Samedan . The lake is a so-called Zungenbeckensee (1.5 km long and around 300 m wide). It fills a basin that became free around the middle of the 20th century when the glacier tongues melted .
