Christa Biederbick
Christa Biederbick (born December 17, 1940 in Balve , Westphalia ) is a German graphic artist and sculptor .
Life
Christa Biederbick studied graphics from 1958 to 1962 at the Werkkunstschulen Dortmund and Münster and from 1964 to 1970 painting at the Berlin University of the Arts under Bachmann. There she became a master class student in 1969.
Christa Biederbick has been working as a freelance sculptor since 1969. In 1976 she became a member of the ZEBRA group . In 1977 she was awarded a scholarship at the Deutsche Akademie Villa Massimo .
Since 1991 she has held a professorship for sculpture at the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz and is a full member of the Free Academy of the Arts in Hamburg.
She is a member of the German Association of Artists and the Special Artists Association in Germany and has been a member of the Free Academy of the Arts Hamburg since 1991 .
Christa Biederbick's master students were Cora Volz , Gisela Eichardt and Birgid Helmy , other well-known students were Feng Lu (later master student of Wolfgang Petrick ) and Salah Saouli (later master student of Marwan ).
Christa Biederbick lives in Berlin.
