The Lekki Lagoon is located in the Lagos state of Nigeria on the Gulf of Guinea and has a maximum length of 37 km and a maximum width of 23 kilometers. It is connected to the lagoon of Lagos to the west by a 25 kilometer long lagoon (" Lagune von Epe ") , which is on average 3.1 meters deep.

Aquaculture in the lagoon is based on a mangrove ecosystem that, like elsewhere, is endangered by the nipa palm . It is surrounded by rainforest and coconut groves.

The place

The place Lekki (Ebute Leki) is known for its beach " Lekki beach ".
