Lena Endre
Lena Endre (born July 8, 1955 in Lidingö ) is a Swedish film and theater actress .
Life
She grew up in Härnösand and Trollbäcken in the municipality of Tyresö . After graduating from high school, she studied marine biology for a few months, but dropped out. After her training at the theater school in Stockholm (1983), she became known for her continuous leading role in the television series Varuhuset ( The Department Store ) (1987-88). In 1987 she accepted an engagement at the Royal Dramatic Theater (Dramaten) , of which she is still a member today. Her first joint theater work with Ingmar Bergman was Eugene O'Neill's One Long Day Journey into the Night (1988). This was followed by Solveig in Peer Gynt (1991), Marie Steuber in Die Zeit und das Zimmer (1993) and Elisabeth in Maria Stuart (2000).
In Germany she was a. a. known in their roles as Erika Berger in the Stieg Larsson -Verfilmungen blindness , condemnation and forgiveness , as well as the prosecutor Katarina Ahlsell in the second season of Wallander films with Krister Henriksson .
Endre was married to director Richard Hobert from 2000 to 2012. She has two children, Rosanna (1990) and Edvin Endre (1994), who were married to Swedish actor Thomas Hanzon from 1986 to 1999. In July 2016 she married the artist Martin Wickström.
Awards (selection)
In 1997 she received the Swedish Guldbagge Film Award for best female supporting role in Bille Augusts Jerusalem and again in 2001 for The Faithless . Also in 1997 she won Best Actress in Juloratoriet at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival . For music for weddings and funerals , she was awarded the Norwegian Film Prize Amanda in 2002 and again in 2011 for Limbo . In 2003 she won best actress in Alla älskar Alice at the Sochi International Film Festival. Together with her film partner Mikael Nyqvist , she was honored with the Silver Hugo Award at the Chicago International Film Festival for Dag och Natt in 2004. For best actress, she was awarded the Swedish TV award Kristallen for Viva Hate in 2015.
