Krister Henriksson
Jan Krister Allan Henriksson (born November 12, 1946 in Grisslehamn , Sweden ) is a Swedish actor .
In Germany, Krister Henriksson became known in the role of Commissioner Kurt Wallander in the Swedish television series Mankells Wallander , a character of the Swedish writer and director Henning Mankell .
biography
Krister Henriksson had his breakthrough in 1973 at the Stockholm City Theater with the lead role in Peer Gynt . In 1993 he came to the Stockholm Royal Dramatic Theater ( Dramatas ). He received the Swedish Guldbagge film award twice for the best male leading role: in 1998 for his portrayal of an actor with cancer in the film Veranda för en tenor and in 2005 for Sex, Hope and Love . Lisa Ohlin directed both films . He also received the Swedish Guldmasken theater prize in 2007 for the one-person play Doctor Glas by Hjalmar Söderberg . From 2005 to 2012 he played the leading role of Kurt Wallander in the Swedish-German co-production "Mankells Wallander", which was broadcast on Swedish and German TV from 2005 to early 2014.
He was co-owner of the Vasateatern in Stockholm and has taught scenic design at the Stockholm Theater School. He also reads Harry Potter's Swedish audio books .
Krister Henriksson has been married to the Swedish actress Cecilia Nilsson since 1988 and lives in Stockholm. He has two daughters and one son.
