Lenni-Kim Lalande , better known as Lenni-Kim (born September 8, 2001 in Montreal , Quebec ) is a Canadian pop singer and actor who is mainly active in France . His career began by participating in the talent show The Voice Kids in France in 2015.

In 2015 his debut single Pourquoi tout perdre was released . The debut album Les autres followed in June 2017 .

biography

Lenni-Kim Lalande was born in Canada in September 2001. He is the only child of Guy Lalande and Myriam Landry. As a young boy, he was already imitating singers he saw on television. At the age of eight, he was signed to an advertising agency and appeared in television commercials and films that aired in Quebec.

In 2015 he took part in the second season of the talent show The Voice Kids in France, where he chose Patrick Fiori as coach, but did not reach the final. He then posted several cover versions of well-known songs on the Internet, including Something Big by Shawn Mendes and Love Me Like You Do by Ellie Goulding in a duet with Phoebe Koyabe. In the same year his debut single Pourquoi tout perdre was released on World Suicide Prevention Day , the proceeds of which were donated.

In 2017 he signed a recording deal with Warner Music France , which will produce his debut album Les autres , which was released in June 2017. Several singles were released from the album in the period that followed. His YouTube channel, on which his singles are also published, had 50.5 million views by January 2019. The single Pourquoi tout perdre received 6.6 million hits, Yolo 10 million, Don't Stop 16 million and Juste toi et moi 4 million hits.

Also in 2017 he sang the title song Miraculous with singer Lou Jean for the second season of the series Miraculous - Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir , which is also released as a single. In autumn 2017 he took part in the eighth season of the dance show Danse avec les stars on TF1 at the side of the dancer Marie Denigot and reached second place.

At the NRJ Music Awards 2017, he was nominated in the Francophone New Discovery of the Year category.

In 2018 and 2019 he performed in France, Belgium , Canada, Russia and Switzerland as part of his Les Autres tour .

In 2019 he was nominated again at the NRJ Music Awards in the Francophone New Discovery of the Year category.

Lenni-Kim names Michael Jackson , The Weeknd and Charlie Puth as musical influences on his music.
