Leo Burmester

Leo Burmester (born February 1, 1944 in Louisville , Kentucky , † June 28, 2007 in New York City ) was an American actor . He has appeared in over 70 films or series.

Life

Before he found acting, Burmester studied biology at Western Kentucky University. He gained his first experience on stage at the Theater of Louisville, but then switched to the film business.

He began his acting career in the 1980 film Cruising . This was followed by the lead role of Randy Stumphill in the sitcom Flo . Smaller roles such as in Love, Lies, Passion , George Washington II: The Forging of a Nation , Two times Two , The Last Temptation of Christ or Abyss followed in the 1980s . In the series The Equalizer and True Blue , he had a regular cast. He appeared in two episodes in Baywatch - The Lifeguards of Malibu . In 1994, 1996 and 2002 he was each seen in an episode of the series Law & Order . In The Legend of Zorro , he made his last appearance in a major film. He had his last role in the short film Mercy .

He died on June 28, 2007 of complications from leukemia . His ashes were scattered around Kentucky. From 2005 until his death he was married to the actress Lora Lee Ecobelli . He left two children.
