Leo Cornelio SVD (born March 14, 1945 in Kukkunje ) is Archbishop of Bhopal in India.

Life

Leo Cornelio joined the religious order of the Steyler Missionaries and was ordained a priest on November 14, 1972 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Khandwa on June 3, 1999 . The Archbishop of Nagpur , Abraham Viruthakulangara , consecrated him on September 8 of the same year as bishop ; Co - consecrators were Paschal Topno S.J. , Archbishop of Bhopal , and George Marian Anathil SVD, Bishop of Indore .

He was appointed Archbishop of Bhopal on June 15, 2007 and was introduced to the office on September 16 of the same year.
