The diocese of Khandwa ( Latin : Dioecesis Khandvaensis ) is a Roman Catholic diocese located in India . It is a suffragan diocese of the Archdiocese of Bhopal and includes the districts of Khandwa and Khargone .

history

In 1977 the diocese was established from the districts of Khandwa and Khargone of the Diocese of Indore . The first bishop was Abraham Viruthakulangara , who later became the archbishop of Nagpur .
