Khandwa is a city in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh .
The city is located 110 km south-southeast of Indore . Khandwa is the administrative seat of the Khandwa District (formerly East Nimar ) in the southwest of Madhya Pradesh.
The city had 200,738 inhabitants at the 2011 census .
