Singrauli ( Hindi : सिंगरौली) is a city in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh .

Singrauli is the administrative seat of the district of the same name founded on May 24, 2008 in the east of Madhya Pradesh. The national highway NH 75 runs not far from the city. The reservoir Govind Ballabh Pant Sagar is located ten kilometers east of Singrauli. There are coal mines in the vicinity of the city .

The city had 220,257 inhabitants at the 2011 census .
