Vance Jack Walker (* 26. April 1987 in Cincinnati , Ohio ) is an American American football poker players in the position of defensive tackle . He is currently a free agent . Most recently he played for the Denver Broncos in the National Football League (NFL).
Early years
Walker went to Fort Mill High School in South Carolina . After that, he went to the Georgia Institute of Technology .
NFL
Atlanta Falcons
Walker was selected as the 210th player in the 2009 NFL draft by the Atlanta Falcons in the seventh round. In his first season he played ten season games, in his second already all 16, but only one as a starter. In the 2011 season he scored the first sack of his career on matchday 13 against the Houston Texans . Overall, Walker played 58 games for the Falcons in four seasons (11 as a starter).
Oakland Raiders
For the 2013 season, Walker moved to the Oakland Raiders . He stayed here for a year, during which he completed his strongest season to date with 40 tackles and 3.0 sacks.
Kansas City Chiefs
For the 2014 season he signed a three-year contract with the Kansas City Chiefs . However, on March 6, 2015, he was released.
Denver Broncos
On March 12, 2015, Walker signed with the Denver Broncos , with whom he won the Super Bowl 50 after the 2015 season with 24:10 against the Carolina Panthers . In this game he scored 2 tackles. On August 19, 2016, he was placed on the Injured Reserve List .
