Siemian has been under contract with the Tennessee Titans in the National Football League (NFL) since the 2020 season .

Early years

Siemian attended Olympic High School in Orlando , Florida , where he set records for most yards thrown (6,144) and touchdowns (53) in three years as a quarterback on the school team . He was also an excellent baseball player, which earned him the title of “Mr. Olympia ”.

Siemian decided among several sports scholarships for the Northwestern University and played from then on for the Wildcats. In 2011 he came to his first appearances as a substitute quarterback and threw in eight games for 256 yards and three touchdowns. In 2012 he received more hours and had his first game as starting quarterback against Indiana University when he threw the 44-29 success for 308 yards. In 2014 he finally became a regular when he played in eleven games from the start before he tore his cruciate ligament and had to end the season prematurely. NFL

Prior to the 2015 NFL Draft , Siemian was ranked 22nd on the list of the best available quarterbacks according to NFLDraftScout.com. Because he did not believe in being selected, he applied for a job as a real estate agent in Chicago himself . However, the Denver Broncos selected him as the 250th player and the seventh quarterback in the seventh round. As the third quarterback after Peyton Manning and Brock Osweiler , he was part of the Broncos team that won Super Bowl 50 against the Carolina Panthers in 2015 . Before the 2016 season, Manning ended his career and Osweiler signed with the Houston Texans , so that Siemian, the newly signed Mark Sanchez and the newly drafted Paxton Lynch fought for the post of the starting quarterback. On August 29th, head coach Gary Kubiak finally named Siemian as a starter. After Siemian played against the Carolina Panthers on Matchday 1 , he is the first quarterback in NFL history to play for the reigning Super Bowl winner on Matchday 1 without having thrown a single pass in the NFL beforehand. The Broncos won the rematch of the Super Bowl after 178 yards, 2 interceptions and a touchdown pass from Siemian with 21:20.

On March 14, 2018, Trevor Siemian joined the Minnesota Vikings with a seven-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft in exchange for a five-round pick in 2019 . In Minnesota he took on the role of substitute for the also newly signed quarterback Kirk Cousins .

On March 20, 2019, Trevor Siemian signed a one-year contract with New York Jets . This brings him 2 million US dollars . The New York Jets, he is the replacement quarterback for the 2018 in the first round Drafted Sam Darnold . After the first day of the season, Darnold Pfeiffer's glandular fever was diagnosed, which is why Siemian was declared a starter in week 2 against the Cleveland Browns . In the game, Siemian injured his ankle and was replaced by number three quarterback of the Jets, Luke Falk .

In August 2020, Siemian signed a one-year contract with the Tennessee Titans .
