Michael Ross Schofield III (* 15. November 1990 in Orland Park , Illinois ) is an American American football poker players on the position of the Guards . He currently plays for the Los Angeles Chargers in the National Football League (NFL). Schofield has been married to ice hockey player Kendall Coyne since July 2018 .

Early years

Schofield attended high school in his hometown, Orland Park . He later attended the University of Michigan , where he played for the college football team in the position of offensive guard and offensive tackle .

NFL

Denver Broncos

Schofield was selected 95th in the third round in the 2014 NFL Draft by the Denver Broncos . On June 3, 2014, he signed a four-year deal with the Broncos. In his first season he did not play a game in the NFL. In his second season, however, he became a regular player. With the Broncos he won the Super Bowl 50 with 24:10 against the Carolina Panthers , here too he was the starting player in his position. In the 2016 season he played all 16 season games for the first time (all as a starter).

On September 2, 2017, Schofield was released from the Broncos.

Los Angeles Chargers

On September 3, 2017, the Los Angeles Chargers took over Scholfield's contract for the remainder of the 2017 season through the waiver system .
