Derek Wolfe (* 24. February 1990 in Negley , Ohio ) is an American American football poker players in the position of defensive end . He plays for the Denver Broncos in the NFL , with whom he also won the Super Bowl 50 .
Early years
Wolfe grew up in Negley , Ohio . He went to high school in East Liverpool , near the state border with Pennsylvania . He later went to the University of Cincinnati , where he played college football from 2008 to 2011 . In these four years he achieved a total of 162 tackles (37 for loss of space) and 19.5 sacks .
NFL
Denver Broncos
Wolfe was selected as the 36th player by the Denver Broncos in the 2012 NFL Draft in the second round . In his first game of the season against the Pittsburgh Steelers , he scored three tackles and a sack. He finished his first season with 40 tackles, six sacks, and two passes defended.
Prior to his sophomore season, in a preseason game against the Seattle Seahawks , Wolfe injured his spinal cord and was placed on the Injured Reserve List . He also suffered two food poisonings during his injury , which caused him to lose 10 kg. In the 2015 season he was suspended for the first four games because he was convicted of taking performance-enhancing substances . After his suspension, he played his best season to date and never missed a single game for the Broncos. He was also used in Super Bowl 50 , which was won 24-10 against the Carolina Panthers . In January 2016, Wolfe signed a four-year deal with the Broncos.

In late March 2020, Wolfe signed a $ 3 million one-year deal with the Baltimore Ravens .
