Brandon Tyler McManus (* 25. July 1991 in Philadelphia , Pennsylvania ) is an American American football player at the position of the Kickers . He currently plays for the Denver Broncos in the NFL , with whom he also won the Super Bowl 50 .
college
McManus went to Temple University in Philadelphia . Here he was active for the college football team as a kicker and punter , he also shot the kickoffs .
NFL
He was not selected in the 2013 NFL draft . However, he then signed a contract with the Indianapolis Colts , but was released before the season. For the 2014 season, McManus then signed with the New York Giants , where he was used in four preseason games, before moving to the Denver Broncos , as their kicker Matt Prater was suspended for four games. Prater was released and McManus was a regular player in the position of the kicker. On November 11, 2014, the Broncos fired McManus, when Connor Barth received a contract as his replacement . Five games later, McManus was brought back by the Broncos.
For the 2015 season, both players, Barth and McManus, were invited to the training camp. McManus was more convincing here, so Barth was fired. Brandon McManus had a good season. He scored 30 field goals (35 attempts) and 35 of 36 extra points . He won the American Football Conference with the Broncos and was Super Bowl 50 winner. In Super Bowl 50 he scored three field goals and scored an extra point attempt.
