Leo Genovese (* 1979 in Venado Tuerto ) is an Argentine jazz pianist .

Live and act

Genovese received his first piano lessons from his mother, who played classical piano. He later studied classical piano at the University of Rosario before moving to the Berklee College of Music in Boston in 2001 , where he a. a. studied with Danilo Pérez and Joanne Brackeen . After his graduation in 2003 he started a career as a professional musician and composer and worked a. a. with Hal Crook , George Garzone , Joe Lovano , Phil Grenadier, Dave Santoro, Chris Cheek , Jack DeJohnette and Ben Monder . In 2004 he presented his first album on Fresh Sound ( Haikus II ).

Since then he has worked in the trio Chromatic Guachos with Joe Hunt and Justin Purtill, later with Dave Zinno and Bob Gullotti , with whom he recorded the trio album Planet Savety for Soul Note in 2010 . He also worked on the albums of Esperanza Spalding and Daniele Germani .
