family
Prittwitz came from the old, widely ramified Silesian noble family of the von Prittwitz family and was the son of the Imperial Russian Chamberlain and Real State Councilor Carl von Prittwitz and Gaffron and the Russian nobleman Barbara Lichatschew.
He married the Russian noblewoman Nadejda Zenin (born June 28 or July 11, 1885 in Kiev ; † January 30, 1957 in Garches near Paris, France) on October 19, 1918 in Katyushany , Podolia Governorate (today's Ukraine ).
His grandfather was the Imperial Russian General of the Cavalry , General Adjutant of the Tsar and later Baron Carl von Prittwitz , Count Sabalkanski, Majorate on Sabalkansk (Kr. Jamburg).
