Karl Heinrich Hans Wenzel von Prittwitz and Gaffron (born December 5, 1833 in Potsdam , † December 27, 1890 in Görlitz ) was a Prussian major general .

Life

origin

He came from the old, very widely branched Silesian noble family of those von Prittwitz and was the son of the Prussian general of the infantry and honorary citizen of Potsdam Karl von Prittwitz and his second wife Antoinette, née Countess von Hacke.

Military career

Prittwitz was from 1 May 1849 and Kadett in Berlin and was followed on 27 April 1852 as second lieutenant of the 1st Guards Regiment walk the Prussian Army in Potsdam transferred. Prittwitz married Fanny Cäcilie Wilhelmine Freiin von Magnus on July 20, 1871 in Drehsa (born October 14, 1850 in Drehsa; † August 6, 1930 in Berlin). She was the daughter of the landowner Rudolf Freiherr von Magnus, master of the Drehsa estate, and Karoline von Zeschau. The following children were born from the marriage:
